Cookie Policy
Last updated: May 3, 2026
Version 1.0 · Always 305, LLC
This Cookie Policy explains how Always 305, LLC ("Always 305," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on https://always305.com (the "Site"). It supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your browser or device when you visit a website. They are commonly used to make websites work, to make them work more efficiently, and to provide information to the site owner. We also use related technologies such as pixels (tiny invisible images), local storage, and software development kits (SDKs).
For simplicity, this Policy uses "cookies" to refer to all of these technologies.
2. Categories of Cookies We Use
2.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies and Storage (Always On)
These cookies and browser local storage entries are required for the Site to function and to comply with consent recordkeeping obligations. They cannot be turned off in our preference center because the Site will not work without them.
| Name / Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Authentication / session cookies | Sign-in tokens, remember-me cookies | Session to 30 days |
| Cart and checkout state (cookies and local storage) | Cart contents, shipping selection, applied promotions | Until cart is cleared |
| always305:cookie-consent (local storage) | Records your accept or reject choice from the cookie banner so we do not re-prompt you. Stores the string "accepted" or "rejected". | Persistent (until you clear browser data) |
| shipkeeper_protected:* (local storage) | Per-cart key set when you opt into shipping protection in the cart drawer. Remembers the opt-in state across page reloads during checkout. | Until cart is checked out or cleared |
| shipkeeper_enrolled:* (local storage) | Per-order key set after a shipping protection enrollment is created on our server. Prevents duplicate enrollments if the page is reloaded. | Persistent (deduplication record) |
| Security and fraud prevention | CSRF tokens, bot detection signals | Session |
| Load balancing and routing | Server affinity cookies | Session |
Note: items above marked "local storage" are stored in your browser's localStorage rather than as HTTP cookies. Under the CCPA and CPRA they are treated the same as cookies when used for personalization or persistence, so we disclose them here.
2.2 Analytics Cookies
These cookies help us understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it.
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) | Aggregate page views, traffic sources, on-site behavior |
| Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation) | Session replay, heatmaps, click and scroll behavior. Data is stored in U.S. data centers and retained for 30 days. Used to diagnose usability issues and improve the Site. |
| Internal product analytics | Funnel performance, feature usage |
2.3 Marketing and Advertising Cookies
These cookies help us deliver relevant ads, measure ad performance, and personalize the Site experience.
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc.) | Conversion tracking, custom audiences, retargeting on Facebook and Instagram |
| Google Ads (Google LLC) | Conversion tracking, retargeting on Google Search, YouTube, and the Display Network |
| Klaviyo | Email and SMS attribution, browse abandonment, cart abandonment, personalization |
2.4 Functional Cookies and Storage
Functional cookies and local storage entries remember choices you have made (such as your preferred language, display options, or whether you opted into shipping protection in the cart drawer) so we can provide a better experience. The ShipKeeper-related local storage keys disclosed in section 2.1 are functional in nature; we classify them as strictly necessary because they prevent duplicate charges and preserve your checkout selection.
3. First-Party vs. Third-Party Cookies
- First-party cookies and local storage are set by Always 305 directly. We control how they work.
- Third-party cookies are set by services we work with, including Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook Pixel), Google LLC (Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads), Microsoft Corporation (Microsoft Clarity), Klaviyo, and ShipKeeper (operated by Avnz, Inc.) when you opt into shipping protection. Those parties' privacy policies govern how they handle the data they collect. See shipkeeper.io/legal for ShipKeeper's practices.
4. Your Choices
4.1 Cookie Banner
When you first visit the Site we display a cookie notice. From that notice you can:
- Accept all cookies
- Reject non-essential cookies
- Customize your preferences by category
You can update your preferences any time by clicking "Cookie Settings" in the Site footer.
4.2 Browser Controls
Most browsers allow you to view, manage, and delete cookies. The exact steps vary by browser:
If you block essential cookies, parts of the Site (including sign-in and checkout) will not work properly.
4.3 Opt Out of Specific Trackers
- Meta: adjust ad preferences in your Facebook account at https://www.facebook.com/adpreferences
- Google: opt out of personalized ads at https://adssettings.google.com
- Microsoft Clarity: review Microsoft's privacy controls and opt-out options at https://privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement. Rejecting analytics cookies in our cookie banner also disables Clarity on this Site.
- Industry-wide: opt out at https://optout.aboutads.info or https://optout.networkadvertising.org
4.4 Global Privacy Control (GPC)
We honor the Global Privacy Control browser signal where required by law (including in California). When we detect a GPC signal we treat it as a request to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
4.5 Do Not Track
Browser-based "Do Not Track" signals are not currently honored because there is no industry standard for how to interpret them.
5. Region-Specific Notes
5.1 United States (Including California)
By default, U.S. visitors are opted into all cookies after the cookie banner is shown. California residents may opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising at any time. See the Privacy Policy for full details on California rights under the CCPA and CPRA.
5.2 European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland
If we expand sales to these regions, we will require affirmative opt-in consent before setting any non-essential cookies, in accordance with the GDPR, UK GDPR, and the ePrivacy Directive. The cookie banner will default to "rejected" for non-essential categories until you choose otherwise.
6. Data Retention
The retention period of each cookie depends on its purpose. Session cookies expire when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain until they expire or you delete them, typically between 30 days and 24 months.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The "Effective Date" at the top reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be highlighted on the cookie banner.
